Derby County midfielder Duane Holmes has been named on the USA's 40-player Provisional Roster for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

It’s a landmark occasion for the 24-year-old, who has been called up to the National Squad for the first time in his career.

Holmes has been recognised following his impressive performances for the Rams this season as he has made 33 appearances and scored two goals.

Those both came in home victories, against Reading in January and Rotherham United in March.

The midfielder will join up with the USA squad as they prepare for the Gold Cup which starts in June.

USA have been drawn in a group with Panama, Trinidad & Tobago and Guyana, who are managed by Club Ambassador Michael Johnson.
