Derby County's promotion-winning Head Coach Paul Warne has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award for April.

Warne led the Rams to an unbeaten final month of the campaign, picking up 11 points from a possible 15.

April started with a hard-fought 2-2 draw with eventual Sky Bet League One winners Portsmouth and concluded with a 2-0 victory over Carlisle United at Pride Park Stadium - a result which ultimately saw the Rams clinch automatic promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship.

The final month of the campaign also saw the Rams secure two more records under the leadership of Warne. The 1-0 victory away at Cambridge United was the 13th of the season, a new club record, surpassing the previous number of 12 that was set in the 2004/05 and 2006/07 seasons respectively.

And those 11 points picked up across the month saw Derby ultimately finish the season on 92 points, a new club record for total points in a campaign, surpassing the previous record of 85 set in 2013/14.

Warne is up against Wycombe Wanderers' Matt Bloomfield, Oxford United's Des Buckingham and John Mousinho of Portsmouth for the final Manager of the Month award of 2023/24.

The Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.

All winners will be announced on Friday 3rd May.
